Today is a very special day for you. You are retiring as a GM-India of a multinational bank. To reach here you worked really hard. You gave me a beautiful family with Grandpa, Grandma, Mom, and Samara. You worked hard not only for your family but for yourself as well which is the most inspiring thing. You and maa did so much for us but also gave some time to yourselves. That is why your marriage looks so fresh like a morning dew drops. At this age, you still look like a 40-year-old man and maa look like a 25-year-old girl. Sorry, no offense to your age dad, but maa looks younger than you or even any of us. If you are my Superhero, Maa is my Supermom. You both worked but gave full time to us so that we should never feel lonely. You both were always there whenever we needed you. At that time I never knew how on earth you guys get to know that we are in some need without even uttering any word to you. After being a father of one, I now realized it. You blessed me with the life’s best teachings and wisdom. You made me what I am today. You taught me “Nothing is impossible in the world especially when you strive to get it. None of your shortcomings can ever come forward, but in your heart, it should be the passion to move forward.”
Today on this very special day, I can only say “Thank you, Dad, for blessing me with you.”
Gaurav folded the letter and wiped his tears. He now started unwrapping the gift box Tanmay has sent for him. In bold words, it was printed on the box “BOSE QC35 II”. Gaurav read the instruction manual and synced it with his phone via Bluetooth. As soon as he finished all the settings, he saw Tanmay is calling. He put the headphone and said “Hello!” “Hello! Dad.” Tanmay said in an excited tone. “I can hear you beta!” Gaurav started crying as he was hearing Tanmay’s voice very clearly over the phone without adjusting his hearing-aid for the first time in last 25 years.
